RING keeps as little as it can.

Looking at an address

The address you paste is sent to our server to find its tree and read NOAA's file. We don't store looks; we keep the parsed NOAA files so the next visitor doesn't wait. Anyone can look at any address: Solana addresses are public.

Signing in and saving

Signing in stores a one-time sign-in code and, if you save your tree, your public address, the tree it maps to, the year of your ring and the cut you keep. Saved trees are public: they appear on the map, the ledger and their own page.

Cookies

One cookie, set only when you sign in: an HMAC-signed session that lasts a week. No advertising or tracking cookies.

Rate limits and logs

To stop abuse we count requests per IP address in short windows and delete the counters soon after. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, may collect anonymous analytics.

Third parties

Pages load fonts from Google Fonts. If our server can't reach NOAA, your browser may fetch the public NOAA file directly.
