Terms

RING maps a Solana address to one record in a pinned index of public tree-ring data and draws that record as a slice. These terms are short on purpose.
What you get
A slice is a picture of a real tree-ring record and the year you joined it. You don't own, name or register any tree, forest, site or dataset. The records belong to the public archive and the scientists who made them.
The data
Ring widths come from the International Tree-Ring Data Bank, held by NOAA's National Centers for Environmental Information (World Data Service for Paleoclimatology). RING reads NOAA's files as published and does not change any width or year. Historical notes (eruptions, droughts) are shown only where a tree's own ring is thin, and they describe the event, not a proven cause in that tree.
Not a game of chance, not financial advice
Nothing on this site is financial advice or an offer of an investment. $RING is a memecoin; its price can go to zero. Don't buy what you can't afford to lose.
No affiliation
RING names NOAA, NCEI, the ITRDB and the investigators of each record to credit their work. None of them is affiliated with RING or endorses it.
Wallets
Signing in means signing a plain text message. RING never asks you to sign a transaction and never touches your funds. "Use my wallet" only reads your address. If a page claiming to be RING asks for a transaction, it isn't us.
Your text
You're responsible for the notes you write on your slice. Don't post anything unlawful or anyone else's private information. We may remove notes that break these terms.
As is
The site is provided as is, without warranty. NOAA's service may be unavailable at times. We may change or stop the site. We're not liable for losses from using it.
